    Description

Prototyping Board 1.6" iMod Module, 8x 3.5mm Screw Terminals
    im16p8p-tbpcb
The im16p8p-tbpcb is a prototype board with press-fit connectors that can be mounted on two rows of 1.0mm holes, spaced 1.6" (40.64mm) apart. Each row has
    8 pins,
2.54mm (0.1") apart. It has been designed to be mounted on two adjacent iMod Ports, but can also be mounted on other boards, like Vero Board, or Modtronix MicroX Prototype boards.
The main usage for this board is to connect it to iMod ports on the
    SBC83I
PIC18F87J11 board or one of the various
    PT66EI
Prototyping Add-ons for boards in the SBC66 PIC24 series, so you can design your own circuit. This module will span across two iMod ports, giving you more room to place your components.
The pin pitch is 0.1" so you can use the module also on any typical prototyping board or breadboard.

The im16p8p-tbpcb has two rows of press-fit connectors on the bottom of the board. They can be pressed into 1.00mm holes on a 1.6mm thick (standard PCB thickness) target board. No special tool is required; they can be inserted by applying firm pressure to the connectors. Once fitted to the target board, the board is very secure, and can not be removed by hand anymore. A screwdriver or similar tool can be used to remove the board if required. If the im16p8p-tbpcb is to be soldered onto the target board, 1.10mm holes can be used. This will allow it to be inserted much easier than with 1.00mm holes. When using 1.10mm holes, the board can be removed by hand.
