    Description

Italy Coin 1 Lira 1863 M Vittorio Emanuel II Nice Date Foreign Silver Coin
Vittorio Emanuele II Lira 1863 M-BN, Milan mint. Fiery amber tones on the obverse,
    with an
equally entrancing steel-gray toned reverse that possesses a crescent of iridescent color to the right
    of the shield.
This denomination is one of the scarcest silver coins issued in the 1860's, being minted
1863 only along with the shield reverse. This design, with the value reverse,
    was
    issued for
    part of
1863 only from Milan and Turin. The denomination was
    minted
    in
    1867 then
    not issued
again until 1883, during the reign
of Umberto I, when it was produced in large numbers.
Weight: 4.60 Grams, Fineness: .835 Fine Silver, Diameter: 23 MM.
