i.MX233 Single Board Linux Computer, 2x USB Host, Ethernet, UEXTiMX233-OLinuXino-MAXI
This OLinuXino development board enables code development of applications running on the i.MX233 microcontroller manufactured by Freescale Semiconductor.
iMX233-OLinuXino-MAXI is suitable for embedded programming enthusiasts, Linux hobbyists, gadget fans, and also professionals, since its low cost makes it very good solution for application-orientated embedded systems. It allows embedded software development without fully needing to understand the hardware side.
Note that you will need to download and build a Linux image. The user manual steps you through that task.

Debugging Options
If you don't have a separate monitor or display around, and you don't wish to swap cables constantly with your PC, there are three debug interfaces that provide a better option for your OLinuXino experience. Pins already are provided for the U_DEBUG interface, which requires only the
USB-to-Serial Cable
that you can select from the
Optional Recommended Products
list below. Pads are provided for you to install more traditional serial and parallel interfaces if you wish to use a Freescale-compatible JTAG dongle. See the user manual for details. Note that the image above and those in the manual show male headers installed for SJTAG; the SJTAG pads in fact are unpopulated through-holes.
Power Supply Consideration
The 6V to 16V power from the power jack should have a maximum current of 1A. When using either of the power supplies selectable below, be sure to use a high enough voltage setting to drop the current low enough (7.5V setting on 120V mains; 9V setting on 220V mains). If you power the board with a typical 3.7V lithium-polymer or lithium-ion battery via the on-board JST connector, the USB hosts and LAN will be disabled.
Add-on UEXT Modules Available
This board has a universal extension connector, UEXT, which allows you to add a peripheral module easily. The UEXT can provide I2C, RS232, SPI and power to the external device. Please see the for a full list of modules that can plug into the UEXT port.
