The Islanders are the newest and smallest wheels in the Bigfoot line. The latest Bigfoot innovations offer a super high rebound 78a durometer urethane and a center hub. Coming in at 65mm in diameter, 78a in hardness, and 45mm in width. Center hub with a 41mm contact patch, rounded slightly inner edge. All of these details put together equal a wheel with quick acceleration, smooth ride, good grip, with good slide characteristics. The rounded edges allow the wheel to break loose and slide easily. This wheel is designed mainly for freeriding and cruising. This Listing contains a set(4) of brand new Longboard wheels & abec 9 bearings for your set-up.
WHEEL SPECS - Measures 65mm x 45mm with a 78A SHR hardness. 65mm wheels provide quick acceleration with decent roll speed making it easier to get going fast from a dead stop.
RIDE STYLE - The smaller 65mm diameter makes the Islander easy to break free for sliding and are a great free ride option. Islanders are a bit soft at 78a which gives them more grip at higher speeds and the rounded edges improve ease of carving and sliding.
SMOOTH RIDE – The soft 78a gives for a nice smooth ride on smooth and rough terrain. The 78A Super High Rebound (SHR) hardness provides a good amount of grip, roll, and slide-ability.
FIT ANY SIZE BOARD - Sizing in at 65mm makes Islanders good for all longboards, and most setups should have no issues with wheel bite. They feature a center set core which allows for the rider to flip and rotate wheels encouraging even wear to prevent coning.
ABEC9 BEARINGS - Comes with ABEC9 bearings. A low viscosity synthetic oil has been added to make these bearings spin great, while keeping friction levels at a minimum.
