. I thought a sealed housing to keep them out would be the answer. After several years of testing this is how I resolved the problem and again

. The sealed housing I came up with is a 50

ammo box. I experimented with seals and vents and a few other ideas and I was able to keep them from getting into the ammo box and no more replacing timers and motors. After about two years with no ant problems my final test was I put a glazed donut in each feeder I had in service which was 4 and came back in 2 weeks to check them and
NO ants

Feeder Mounting Statement:
This unit must be installed where the lid closes evenly or it will not seal. There are only two places where ants can get into the ammo box, the lid or the vent with a hole for wires from a solar panel. Adjusting for the lid to close evenly can easily be done by adjusting nuts up or down on the all-thread bolts and the hole in one of the vents for inlet wires must be sealed with epoxy or caulking. I can assure you when mounted correctly your ant problems are
