Tiara commissioned from Chaumet in 1897 by the Marquis de Keroüartz for his wife-to-be Louise d’Andigné, on the occasion of their marriage the same year. The tiara might be a metaphor for flower buds in a vase. In diamonds, a row of wavy semi-circles (water) is topped by small leaves. The sepal of the flower follows. Dots of small diamonds (ovaries) lead to pistels, which hold the buds (baroque pearls) in place. The tiara might represent fertility. Albion Art Collection.
