    Description

This 8 Reales comes from an 1810 shipwreck it was discovered by a treasure salvor who at the time was searching for a shipwreck vessel off Ft. Pierce. Across A1A from a popular restaurant known to the locals as Archie’s. It was the Royal Eight and it was captain Harold Holden who found the wreck. This 8 Reales was awarded to Cobb Coin Company whose president was Mel Fisher. I purchased this 8 Reales from Captain Bonnie Schubert “Gold Hawg” In 2010 Captain Bonnie Schubert recovered a magnificent 22K gold Pelican it was from the 1715 Fleet. The 8 Reales for sale comes with a Cobb Coin Certificate (Mel Fisher) and a letter to me from Captain Schubert I received in 2012.We are both members of the 1715 Fleet Society. This is a rare 8 not often seen. Very Rare with Mel Fisher COA
