1801 8 Reales silver piece struck in Mexico City for Spanish King Carolus IIII. This piece looks like an XF++ to me but you grade it. Surfaces are original with luster remaining along with a few chop marks. A nice example of this type coin associated with pirate treasure and used in the colonies.
There is something happening under the "8". Looks like 8/8 or 8/9? not sure but there is something! IS this an error?
