Description
Welcome! For your consideration: A 1783 Mo Mexico, Spanish Colonial 8 Reales, a curated shipwreck coin with strong details.Coins of this date are usually from the El Cazador wreck but without the provenance we can only state that it's extremely likely. The coin is very reflective but has a dull white caste to it. Some of the photos look almost chalk white, this is not how the coin will typically look in hand. Photos # 3 and 4 are shot to show some of the reflective properties. 38.5mm actual diameter, .903 fine Silver with .786 ounce ASW at full original weight. This coin weighs 25.08 grams now as opposed to it's original 27.07 grams, the low reduction in weight lends itself to a finer detail coin. Mint location: Mexico City. Please view the photos to judge condition & grade as this is the coin you will receive.
